Using Chinese Medicine to restore

Harmony, healing,
& Balance

bringing the mind, body, and spirit back into Harmony

Through Chinese Medicine’s personalized treatment approach, along with my background in Nutrition Sciences, I’ll work alongside you to develop an integrated plan to achieve wellness—often including a blend of acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal remedies, and nutrition/lifestyle tips.

the treatment Modalities

  • Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves inserting thin needles into the skin at specific points to relieve pain and promote healing.

  • Herbs

Chinese herbal medicine is a holistic system of medicine that uses plants and minerals to treat the root cause of illness.

  • Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a warming therapy that uses heat from burning mugwort to stimulate acupuncture points and promote healing.

  • Fire Cupping

Fire cupping involves heating a glass cup to create suction on the skin, to promote circulation and relieve pain.

  • Gua Sha

A technique that involves scraping the skin with a smooth tool to promote circulation, reduce inflammation, and relieve pain.

  • Tuina

Tuina is a traditional therapy that uses techniques like manual pressure, kneading, stretching and rolling to promote healing.

Meet your practitioner

Hello! My name is Caitlynn Bohman, owner of Dancing Aspen Healing Arts, located in Gresham, OR. I am a Portland native who came to Chinese Medicine through my own healing journey with endometriosis. Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, diet, and lifestyle changes helped me get my life back.

I believe that the best healing takes place when the patient and practitioner work as a team. Because of this team mentality, I expect all of my patients to play an active role in their healing! While Chinese Medicine is quite incredible and potent, it often requires patients to participate in their health care in addition to receiving acupuncture.
